This workshop is for children who are aged 8+.  Crochet requires a level of dexterity in their fingers that usually hasn't formed before age 8. We want children to have the best experience and not be put off learning this skill.

This class is ideally suited to children who have already attended our Children's beginners classes or had a private lesson with us and/or have a good understanding of basic crochet stitches. This class is for children who are ready to move onto making toys and 3D shapes.  They will be taught how to make an amigurumi practice ball in their first session and advised on which yarns to select and the wide variety of projects they can look forward to making.  Examples of crochet toys will be displayed for inspiration as well as a supply of projects and designs which they can select from as they move forward on their exciting crochet toy making journey.

All materials for your child to practice with are provided at the class.  However, once your child decides on which project they would like to complete we will guide you on purchasing the required materials.  If your child already has crochet hooks and yarn please feel free to bring them along.

What We Need From You:

Your name, email address and telephone number, your child's name and their favourite colour (if they have one).  Please also make us aware of any disabilities, special requirements or anything you need us to be mindful of when teaching your child. Children should be accompanied to this workshop by an adult.  Adults are expected to stay for the duration of the class. 

During the workshops, we may take photographs for use on our social media and on our website. If you do not wish your child to be photographed please let us know.
