1. What is Crafty Coo?
The Crafty Coo is a collective of arts and craft makers under one roof, selling handcrafted goods with unique designs. The crafty coo hosts, visiting, small businesses and other “pop-ups”.
2. What arts and crafts do you offer?
We offer a range of arts and crafts for sale, including ceramics, glass, knitting and crochet, painting and illustration, fabric, confectionery, slate and wood.
3. Can I request a custom design?
Many of our makers offer a commission based service.
4. Where are your craftspeople from?
All of our craftspeople are based in Scotland, and many of them are local to Ayr. Most of them work from home studios and display their work within the shop.
5. How can I become one of your ‘pop-up’ visiting craftspeople?
We love to work with small businesses and craftspeople, please email us at

6. How do I find out about and book classes and workshops?

7. Can I see examples of your work?
Of course! Follow us on Facebook to explore all our work and pop into the shop to
view anything that you are particularly interested in.
8. What do I do if I want to host a class or workshop?

9. What if I am not satisfied with my purchase?
Your satisfaction is our priority, if there is an issue with your order, please reach out
to us immediately, and we will work to resolve it promptly.

Bubble Pop Pix
This painting features a vibrant mix of colours, including bright blues, pinks, yellows, oranges, purples, and greens, blending together in a bold and expressive style. Originally, this is a beloved dog of a Crafty Coo member, and through a step-by-step painting process, it was transformed into this stunning artwork.

🖼️Susan Breckenridge - A 2023 Glasgow School of Art master's graduate, they create sculptures and leaded glass from reclaimed materials, embracing the surprises of kiln work and the craft of panel-making.✨
🧶Alison Dobbin - Our resident knitter, specializes in vibrant baby knits and handcrafted dolls, animals, and felt creations. Her felt range includes personalized baby mobiles, wall hangings, and more🐻
🌳Marion Ketchen - Crafts unique wood, slate, and paper designs using laser techniques and handcrafting. Specializing in wooden wedding stationery, she was a finalist for the 2025 Scottish Confetti Wedding Awards!🏆
🕯️Isabel Swinbank - Turned a family passion into 15 years of crafting high-quality, sustainable soy wax home fragrances in East Renfrewshire.🌿
👩🎨Adrienne McKenzie - Discovered her passion for pottery in 2021 and launched 'Adrienne's Kiln' with support from family and friends. Working from her home workshop in Eaglesham, she draws inspiration from nature and the outdoors.🌳
🎨Vanessa Reynolds - Is an artist with two distinct styles. Her Bubble Pop Pix series features vibrant, psychedelic Pop Art, while her Wilderness range uses botanic eco-printing with wildlife subjects.🌺
📚Angela Cowan - Creator of Time Travellers Design, offers novels, colouring books, and T-shirts with a mix of rock stars, retro TV, and Scottish humour. Her Time Travelling Detectives series follows a resurrected killer & a talking Glaswegian dog.🐶
