Children's beginners crochet (right-handed)

This workshop is for right- handed children who are aged 8+.  Crochet requires a level of dexterity in their fingers that usually hasn't formed before age 8. We want children to have the best experience and not be put off learning this skill.

In this workshop children will learn basic crochet stitches including chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, half treble and treble crochet.  They will be encouraged to combine these stitches to make a basic shapes such as squares, circles, flowers, love hearts.

Children will be guided on choosing yarns and colours and shown some examples of things that they can go on to make using their shapes e.g. flowers, hanging decorations, blankets.

All materials are provided, however if your child already has crochet hooks and yarn please feel free to bring them along.

What We Need From You:

Your name, email address and telephone number, your child's name and their favourite colour (if they have one).  Please also make us aware of any disabilities, special requirements or anything you need us to be mindful of when teaching your child. Children should be accompanied to this workshop by an adult.  Adults are expected to stay for the duration of the class. A comfortable seating area with complimentary tea and coffee is provided.

During the workshops, we may take photographs for use on our social media and on our website. If you do not wish your child to be photographed please let us know.
