Children's beginners crochet - Thursday 27th November 6pm

In this workshop children will learn basic crochet stitches to make shapes e.g. granny squares, circles, flowers.

This workshop is for children who are aged 8+.  Crochet requires a level of dexterity in their fingers that usually hasn't formed before age 8. We want children to have the best experience and not be put off learning this skill.
In this workshop children will learn basic crochet stitches including chain stitch, slip stitch, and treble crochet.  They will be encouraged to combine these stitches to make shapes such as granny squares, circles and flowers.

 
Children will be guided on choosing colours and shown some examples of things that they can go on to make using their shapes.
